Amazing Aurora: beautiful chaos.

Okay, so I don't know about you, but I love seeing the color in the sky. When the sunset is striped, I look up. A chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis was right up my alley. As you see on the right, the Aurora Borealis are beautiful colors in the sky, but there is a real scientific phenomenon behind the shimmering color. Want to find out?

The sun sends off something called the solar wind. It is intense, electrified gas. The only thing protecting us from this menace is Earth's magnetic field. Because of this effect, the solar wind mostly passes by, but sometimes, it creeps in at the poles, getting in a little, and reacting with the atmosphere, creating Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis.  These beauties are what we today call the Auroras.
So why is this coming up now? Last week, the sun sent a huge burst of Solar Wind at us, and on Thursday to Friday, people north from us reported beautiful auroras, as seen here. Look. These pictures are there and more. If you are interested in hearing more about the beautiful aurora's, comment below, and I will try to answer your questions the best I can. If you are interested in more phenomenon, then comment below. Thanks a lot for reading this!!
