Interview with Ms. Kris, Teacher
Ms. Kris teaches Mysteries of History for the middles and olders, Watercolor (fall term) and Science Experiments (spring term).
Yarri: Out of all the classes you teach, what is your favorite class?
Ms. Kris: History.
Y: What do you teach in that class?
Ms. K: Well, I teach the middles ancient history and mythology, and I teach the olders 20th history and media.
Y: How long have you been in Mullberry?
Ms. K: Since the beginning.
Y: Wow, that’s a long time. So starting with fall 2011, which year has been your favorite?
Ms. K: I don’t have a favorite.
Y: Why not?
Ms. K: Each year has had interesting experiences for me.
Y: Oh, okay. So, how do you feel Mullberry has changed over the years?
Ms. K: Our approach to learning has matured as our students have matured. it has become a pleasant challenge to adapt teaching styles from the olders to the middles.
Y: Why do you homeschool?
Ms. K: I homeschool because I want my daughters to learn at their own pace and to study what is interesting to them without criticism from their peers.
Y: If you could change one thing about mullberry what would it be?
Ms. K: I'd like to see Mulberry in a community center so we could have a woodworking shop, an art room, and a science lab.
