and listen more than speak ,usually. What do you think of when you hear that ? Do you think of that person who is quiet all of the time, who thinks all of the time, who never seems to take charge? Not completely right. According to one website, J.K. Rowling, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Issac Newton, and others were all introverts.
New research indicates that introverts influence other people more than extroverts do, by the introvert doing what he or she is comfortable with. Though the environment today is leaned to extroverts, introverts still make marks. Sometimes it is surprising who says that he or she is an introvert.
For those who are introverts, here are a few suggestions
- After being with other people for a while, take the time, when you are alone, to enjoy solitude. Even if you are super tired and want to sleep, take a few moments to calm down after a hectic day.
- Take small steps. After leaving your comfort zone, go back in again, and take small steps towards jumping in more.
- Be yourself. Even when you feel tired, everyone else wants to hear what you have to say, your point of view. There is no such thing as a bad question, or statement, unless it isn't asked.
