Volcanoes Electrified: Volcanic Lightning

This post is dedicated to my brother, whose science class was learning about volcanoes. Now, to buisness! I know you are wondering about that last sentence in the last phenomenon. "Volcanic Lightning? What is that? Did DragonDawn just go completely insane? That just can't be real." Well, it is. It is very real, and not entirely understood. This can also be an amazing and interesting phenomenon. Want to find out more?
Volcanic Lightning is caused when there is an electric charge in the ash spewed by a volcano. This electric charge is very unbalanced, and it forms what looks like LIGHTNING! This lightning forms in the ash and then it discharges into the volcano. Think that this is rare? WRONG!
It actually is fairly common, and many volcanoes form lightning discharges. This may seem a little strange, but pretty cool over all!
While this can be a fairly common phenomenon, this is also a rather strange feeling idea. Some people tend to take for granted that volcanoes and lightning are very separate things. WRONG!!!!!
