World's Smallest Animals:

Mammal: The title of world's smallest known mammal is shared between two creatures: the Etruscan Shrew and Kitti's Hog-Nosed Bat, also known as the bumblebee bat

Amphibian: A frog known as Paedophyrne amauensis at an average of 7.7mm long; it is also the smallest known vertebrate

Fish: Paedocypris progenata with a mature female measuring 7.9 mm

Bird: The Bee Hummingbird is the world's smallest bird, measuring only 5.0 mm

Reptile:The Brookesia micra chameleon, at less than 30mm from nose to tail as an adult; babies are small enough to fit on a match tip
