Quotes: Shakespeare

Yes, I know that most people think that Shakespeare is boring, but he really isn't. If you hear the story, or see it performed--it's awesome. Here are a few quotes from Shakespeare's plays.

"First thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers"-- Henry VI

"Cry "Havoc," and let slip the dogs of war"-- Julius Caesar

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so".-- Hamlet

"We are such stuff as dreams are made on, rounded with a little sleep".-- The Tempest

"For the rain it raineth every day"-- Taming of the Shrew.

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind"-- A Midsummer Night's Dream

"Et tu, Brute!"-- Julius Caesar

"Me, poor man, my library was dukedom large enough"-- The Tempest

"If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?"--The Merchant of Venice.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"--Romeo and Juliet

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"-- Hamlet

So, the next time you say "But, for my own part, it was Greek to me"(Julius Caesar), thank Shakespeare for that expression!
