Telepathy

Telepathy. Wouldn't that be cool? Being able to actually hear people's thoughts? Well, here are a few facts about telepathy.

• Telepathy is not a modern idea.  The idea of telepathy comes from the late 1800's. This century had had an extreme amount of progress in science. 
• Telepathy may have come from people who had schizophrenia. Some people who had schizophrenia, or a brain disorder which makes people have delusions, hallucinations, and not be able to think clearly,  believed that some of the thoughts appearing in xyr mind were not xyr own. This may have been the first idea for telepathy. 
• There have been frauds. Many people have pretended to have telepathy, but they have all been frauds. Or Have They?
• Many people believe that telepathy never will exist. Others believe that telepathy was freely used in the stone age. 

An Experiment. I decided to test this a few times.

Shape Cards

1. Make 4 cards with different shapes on them, such as a circle, triangle, squiggly line, etc. 
2. Get a volunteer, preferably someone you know. 
3. Shuffle the cards slightly, and then look at the first card. DON'T LET YOUR VOLUNTEER SEE IT!!!
4. Have the volunteer guess which shape is on the back. Go through the cards that way.  
5. If the person guesses more than 1 right, then that is pretty good!! Get ready for the next test. 

Telephone Test

1. Get a group of perhaps 5 people. 
2. Choose one person to be the receiver. 
3. Put the receiver in a different room with a phone, and randomly choose someone to call that person, at a specific time which the receiver knows. 
4. Before the receiver picks up the phone, this person should write a guess about who it is.
5. Cycle through everyone. The regular result for guessing is 1 in 4 people will be right. If it is higher..... I don't know. 

Song Series
I accidentally did this the other day.

1. Get one person that you know well nearby. 
2. Write down a few lyrics of a song that you both know well. 
3. My results were: about 3 minutes after I wrote down those lyrics, Lelila started humming that song!!! Telepathy? 

Drawing Dilemma

1. Station a person nearby. 
2. Have that person start to draw something. 
3. Try to guess what the person is drawing.

This isn't really an official test, since people tend to draw certain things, but it is fun.


Even if telepathy isn't real, these things can be fun to do, and discover how well you really know a person.
